Finbarr Buckey

Ph.D. Student

Finbarr graduated from University College Cork with a B.Sc. degree in Chemistry of Pharmaceutical Compounds. He is currently undertaking a PhD at the Centre for Advanced Photonics and Process Analysis (CAPPA) at Cork Institute of Technology, Ireland. His research topic is Optical Molecular Imprinted Polymer (MIP) Sensors for compound detection, with a focus on High Potent (HP) drugs under the supervision of Dr. Michael McAuliffe and Dr. Liam O’Faolain. His research interests include organic polymer synthesis and Raman spectroscopy.
