Krishnakumar Chullipalliyalil

Dr. Krishnakumar Chullipalliyalil is a researcher in the Centre for Advanced Photonics & Process Analysis in Cork Institute of Technology. He was awarded Ph.D. in Physics from University College Cork in 2017. The area of study was Fluorescence spectroscopy, with thesis titled “Fluoresence from Rhodamine 101 and Yb³+doped materials in condensed phase”. He finished his M.Sc. in Physics from National Institute of Technology, India. He also worked as a project associate in Indian Institute of Technology Madras in a project involved with stimulated Brillouin scattering. He joined CAPPA in July, 2017, and is currently working on deep UV Raman spectroscopy for pharmaceutical cleaning. His research interests include Fluorescence, Raman visible and Near IR spectroscopy, optical manipulation (optical trapping and imaging), High power laser applications (ablation and nonlinear measurements) and Optical instrumentation.
